confessions

yesterday i finished reading confessions of a video vixen. i wasn't going to read it at first because i thought to myself, "self, you don't want to read a story about who this lady has slept with and blah blah blah." surprisingly, the book was a great read and the former "video vixen" was well-spoken. some of the things i read were shocking, like the dependency upon drugs from some of the artists that i would always listen to during my high school years, but other things were obvious like the rampant sex (no pun intended) and how these artists would subdue the women that were in their videos. reading her story made me grateful for the life that i have. it showed me that other people have much harder obstacles to overcome and that anything can be accomplished when one gets his or her mind right. i encourage you to read this biographical sketch of this woman's life. take a chance, you might actually like it.
